Cause gosh, do we need it!

I have recently noticed that, not even only myself, but many other writers in the writing community here, Tumblr, and Ao3 have found themselves in a slump. Well, I think it is time we address this slump and give a backbone to the writing parts of our brain!

First things first, go get it done! It may seem hard right now, you might be stuck, you might even dread doing the work a little. But here is something to help.

Think back. Far back. To the very first instances you caught yourself writing. To when you first realized you could create a series. To when you knew these characters were yours. It is a feeling like none other. What should be done next is let these characters give you a piece of their mind. Literally.

I find that when I'm stuck, it helps a lot when I spoil myself and pick out my favorite character, whether original or already in existence, and completely write about them. Because, it's the least hassle when it is someone you love that you're writing about!
